Something New and Romantic!

I love signs and am always looking for a new way to approach them. So thinking petite, since sometimes I work really large, I came up with this grouping that I just love and hope you do too!


I think it would make a wonderful gift especially since the monogram can be personalized.

Empty Nest

Hi everyone,

My son is off to college so now I hope to get back to blogland more often!Funny thing, a nest keeps popping into my work! It is a bit lonely with him at school, so I am feeling the sadness of being an empty nestor!I havebeen painting away... I guess work can be wonderful therapy!

French Court Romantic Box

Now available on my webiste. Hi everyone,

I recently found this piece and thought it was so unusual! I was so excited to paint it. Seems like my style is changing a bit these days. Of course I love pink and white, but I think it is important to try new things and explore a new pallet. It actually started with my French Lady Antique Panel a few Posts ago. I call this a Romantic French Box? Sometimes it reminds me of a chair, a throne maybe? I guess it could be used for many things or just placed some where as an Object De Arte.

Pretty in Pink

I do love the time of Marie Antoinette, but I also love the 1920's! I guess for some, they were a time to be fancy free and dance away! Love the flapper dresses! I hope you enjoy these paintings done in watercolor as I had so much fun doing them! I did fashion illustration for many years, so this was a true labor of love for me. It was a wonderful art, but as a profession,it became a dying art. So now, I get to create what I want! I had some fun with rhinestones too

, just for the glamour of it!

French Lady Keesapke Boxes

Hi everyone !Here are two vintage boxes I have been working on and wanted to share them with you. A touch of Marie and still love that era! I really enjoy creating an antique look with different finishes. the more distressed, the more excited I am. French Ladies

It has been such a long time sinceI have posted! I have really missed visiting everyone and decided, although I am not sure whether what I have to post is interesting or not,altough I hope it is....it is time to start blogging again! It has been a very busy year! Working sometimes around the clock it seems!I am looking
forward to the lazy days of summer,but I am not sure if there are really any lazy days anymore?The past few weeks I have beenworking on my French Ladies and have really enjoyed it.This is an antique panel and I have also done a few keepsake boxes as well.Maybe Marie would have enjoyed them? I just love escaping to another time and place for inspiration.Where it will go from here, who knows!I am lookingfoward to visiting you all again!
